If you're in the market for a Mac upgrade, looking at the prices at Apple's site might not exactly fill you with joy, especially if you want one of the best MacBook models that really packs some power.

However, those that don't necessarily need Apple's latest M1 MacBook Pro can make a significant saving on the mid-2019 MacBook Pro at Best Buy. Today only, the retailer is offering the 512GB model for just $999.99. That's $900 off its retail price in a sale that is likely to clear out the inventory of this now previous-gen model.

It's pretty rare to find deals these days on previous-generation MacBook models, especially in brand new condition. As well as the saving you're getting at Best Buy today, you'll also have the peace of mind knowing that your shiny new computer is, well, exactly that: brand new. You'll even get six months of Apple Music and six months of Apple News+ with your purchase if you're yet to try those services out.

This 13-inch mid-2019 MacBook Pro is equipped with a 13.3-inch Retina display, 512GB SSD, 8GB RAM, and packs in an 8th-gen quad-core Intel Core i5 processor with Intel Iris Plus Graphics 655. It also has Apple's Touch Bar and Touch ID tech as well as four Thunderbolt 3 / USB-C ports.

If the 13-inch size is not for you or you want to go for Apple's M1-powered machine, you can also make a saving at Best Buy. There are several models discounted there, with $200 or more off while the deals last.
