Incipio's new connected home products play nice with HomeKit
At CES 2015, Incipio announced a trio of home automation products that will be compatible with Apple's software framework, HomeKit. These new gadgets include a wireless-enabled smart outlet, a light bulb adapter ($24.99 each), and a power strip ($59.99). There will also be an Incipio Direct app that will be available alongside all of these when they launch in Q2.
These will be able to do stuff like remotely turn on and off appliances around the home, and thanks to the app, you'll be able to cook up automatic actions based on certain criteria, like turning on the light when you're close to home. You should be able to interact with the new Incipio Direct series through Siri, too. Here are some more details from the press release.
Incipio® Announces Home Automation Solutions Compatible with Apple HomeKit at 2015 International CES
IRVINE, CA – January 6, 2015 – Incipio®, the leading designer and manufacturer of award-winning mobile device solutions and technology, based in Southern California, today debuts three home automation solutions, Incipio DIRECT Wireless Smart Outlet, Light Bulb Adapter, and Power Strip with integrated Smart Outlet, that support Apple's HomeKit framework at 2015 International CES.
