Another report says Apple is bringing OLED to the 10.9-inch iPad
What you need to know
- Another report says Apple is bringing OLED to the 10.9-inch iPad in 2022.
- It also believes that OLED will come to the iPad Pro in 2023.
Another report is jumping on the rumor that Apple will bring OLED to the 10.9-inch iPad.
A new report from Display Supply Chain Consultants says that Apple will bring an AMOLED display to the 10.9-inch iPad next year.
Today's report lines up with an earlier one from The Elec that also says Apple will bring an OLED screen to a 10.9-inch iPad in 2022. The report says that Apple will then expand OLED to the 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models in 2023.
The only iPad with a 10.9-inch display is currently the iPad Air, so this is presumably the iPad that each report is talking about. The only other reasonable option would be a new base model iPad, but that would also require a huge redesign of the current model. It's much more likely that this upgrade is coming to the iPad Air.
