Apple adds nine new screensavers to the Apple TV
Apple TV owners are getting a nice surprise with the latest software update.
As reported by 9to5Mac, with the release of tvOS 15.2, Apple has added nine new screensavers including aerial videography of landscapes in both Scotland and Iceland.
All of the screensavers are, of course, absolutely gorgeous. Ben Mayo from 9to5Mac keeps a running record of all of the available screensavers on his personal blog if you want to check them all out while you are waiting for Apple TV to download them.
Just like firmware updates for Apple devices, there isn't a way to manually update and get the new Apple TV screensavers. The best thing you can do is to ensure that you are set to download new videos daily and then wait for them to be downloaded in the background. change when that happens, To do this, go to Settings > General > Screensaver > Download New Video and change the frequency to Daily.
Apple has released a ton of new screensavers for the Apple TV over the years. From aerial landscapes to underwater videography, to even a partnership with NASA with 4K footage from space, you certainly have plenty of options for epic screensavers.
Bottom line: The price tag and marginal upgrades are a big ask for current 4K TV customers, but the new Apple TV 4K (2021) is an excellent bit of kit.
