Apple takes Pages, Numbers, and Keynote to 11
What you need to know
- All of the suite of iWork apps have been updated to version 11.0.
- The new version updates Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.

Apple has officially released version 11.0 of its suite of iWork apps, bringing some notable updates to Pages, Numbers, and Keynote across iOS, iPadOS, Mac, and iCloud.
Pages
In addition to precision editing, quick value entry, and an easier way to select multiple objects, Pages 11.0 has added the following to the iOS and iPadOS app:
- A new option in More > Settings > Editing to always open documents in edit view.
- Add phone number links to table cells, text objects, and shapes.
- Scribble support for Portuguese, French, Italian, German, and Spanish languages.
Pages 11.0 for the Mac has also received some notable updates:
- Updated media browser offers enhanced search options and new content categories such as Recents, Portraits, and Live Photos.
- Add phone number links to table cells, text objects, and shapes.
- Use AppleScript to change a document password or open password-protected documents.
Pages for iCloud has also been given the ability to add bookmarks to documents.
Keynote
Keynote 11.0 for iOS and iPadOS has also added precision editing, quick value entry, and an easier way to select multiple objects. It has also added the following:
- A new option in More > Settings > Editing to always open presentations in edit view.
- Add phone number links to table cells, text objects, and shapes.
- Scribble support for Portuguese, French, Italian, German, and Spanish languages.
Keynote 11.0 for the Mac has added some new enhancements for presenters:
- View your presenter notes, current slide, and next slide in a separate window while presenting.
Keynote for iCloud has also added some new shapes to bring variety to your slides.

Numbers
Numbers 11.0 has added precision editing, quick value entry, and an easier way to select multiple cells in a sheet. In addition, the new update adds the following for the iOS and iPadOS app:
- A new option in More > Settings > Editing to always open spreadsheets in edit view.
- Add phone number links to table cells, text objects, and shapes.
- Export your spreadsheet to Microsoft Excel with the summary worksheet excluded.
- Scribble support for Portuguese, French, Italian, German, and Spanish languages.
The new Numbers update adds the following for the Mac app:
- Updated media browser offers enhanced search options and new content categories such as Recents, Portraits, and Live Photos.
- Add phone number links to table cells, text objects, and shapes.
- Use AppleScript to change a spreadsheet password or open password protected spreadsheets.
Numbers for iCloud has also added new shapes.
