Apple has reportedly taken over a small town as it begins filming for the upcoming show The Big Door Prize.
Set to star Chris O'Dowd among others, the unannounced Apple TV+ show looks to have taken over Loganville, Georgia for filming according to tweets by Matthew Smith. Photos show references to Deerfield, the fictional area the show will be set in.
Here's how Deadline describes the show and O'Dowd's role in it:
Popped into the barber shop today and found our little town is being used as a filming location for a production called “Deerfield”. All the old shops have been repurposed, repainted, and redressed, kind of exciting! #film pic.twitter.com/wljmKGFrEIPopped into the barber shop today and found our little town is being used as a filming location for a production called “Deerfield”. While Smith calls the production "Deerfield" initially, they correct that to "Zoltar" in a follow-up tweet. However, as AppleInsider reports, that's a misunderstanding surrounding the project's name.
Smith goes on to say the set is for "Apple TV series named Zoltar and it revolves around a high school teacher in a small town."
There's currently no timescale for when the new show will land on Apple TV+ but it could be another one to check out once it does.
