Best iPad deals and sales July 2024: Save money on Apple's premium tablets

The iPad is the last word in tablet computing — there is competition out there, but the product line has become almost synonymous with 'tablet'. Your grandma is never going to ask you to pass the Samsung Galaxy thing — she'll ask for the iPad, just as she still asks if you're playing your Nintendo when you're deep in a PlayStation session.

There's only one problem with the iPad line, and that's their fairly lofty prices. Even the cheapest iPad will set you back $349 if you buy it from the Apple Store, and they go all the way over $1000 if you want one of the top-of-the-line Pro models. There are always deals to be found, however, so that you can save some money when you buy a new iPad.

With the iPad 10th gen now at its Apple-mandated lower base price, B&H Photo has now lowered the price even further with another $20 discount. This is now the base spec iPad, so expect to see it lower further over the course of the year.

This is nowhere close to the lowest price ever on an iPad mini, so we'd recommend waiting until the iPad drops back below $400. We're still waiting on a new model as well, so there's another reason to hold off.

The latest iPad Air 6 comes with some hefty updates, and, in this case, a healthy discount for such a new device. This is, by virtue of it being the first discount on the device, the lowest price it's ever been.

The 13-inch iPad is a larger version of the M2 equipped iPad Air, and that means it comes in at a higher price. This $30 discount is the furthest we've seen it go so far, but a discount on any new device is more than welcome.

With their brand new OLED screens and M4 chips, the brand new iPad Pro models are some seriously slick devices — with some massive prices. This might not seem like much, but any discount on a $1000 machine is well worth taking advantage of.

If you're looking for something a little smaller and size-efficient, then the iPad Mini 6 is the iPad for you. It's a surprisingly small device that still manages to pack in a great deal of screen real estate, and a healthy amount of grunt behind its diminutive metal chassis.

If you're after something that sits pretty much perfectly in the middle of all the other iPad models, then the new iPad (2022) could be just what you're looking for. The screen has lost a lot of the bezel of the previous model, and the new colorful case is pretty stunning too.

First off, where to look - Amazon. Generally, Amazon is going to have the best iPad sales. You may well find them at other retailers like B&H Photo, Best Buy, and Walmart, but they'll most likely not be better than the prices you'll find at Amazon.

Want the best prices? You might have to go for a different color. Often, Amazon will sell iPads of different colors at different prices - so the Lilac version may have a $20 discount, while the Starlight may still be full price. It's always worth looking at all the different colors to find the best iPad sales.

If you're not bothered as to whether it's the latest model or not, then have a shop around for yesterday's iPads! Sometimes, you'll find some killer deals on iPads that are still really solid devices, they just aren't current. Apple is usually pretty good with supporting their devices, so you shouldn't worry too much about a model that's a couple of months old.
