The final Pokémon GO Fest Ultra Unlock event features Pokémon from the Galar region

What you need to know

• Pokémon GO Fest featured incentives to unlock events after the festival was over.
• Ultra Unlock Event Part 3 will be themed after Pokémon Sword and Shield.
• The event will run from August 20 to August 31, 2021.

In the most recent blog post by Niantic, the company has announced their plans for the final part of the Ultra Unlock event — extra rewards and challenges unlocked by players who participated in Pokémon GO Fest 2021.

Ultra Unlock Part 3 has been named "Sword and Shield", and, like the name suggests, will reportedly feature Pokémon found in the Galar region as shown in Pokémon Sword and Shield. Hoopa, the mischief Pokémon, has continued to wreak chaos in time and space, which means that players will be able to catch the gen 8 legendary Pokémon Zacian and Zamazenta in their Hero of Many Battles forms for the first time.

The following features will be available during the event:

• Skwovet, Wooloo, Galarian Darumaka, Trubbish, and Falinks will appear in the wild.
• These Pokémon will be hatching from 7 km eggs:
  • Galarian Meowth
  • Galarian Ponyta
  • Galarian Slowpoke
  • Galarian Farfetch'd
  • Galarian Zigzagoon
  • Galarian Darumaka
  • Galarian Stunfisk
• Event-exclusive Timed Research will allow players to encounter a Galar-specific Pokémon.
• Field Research tasks can grant players Skwovet, Wooloo, or Falinks.
• Players can pick up the Gym Challenger Uniform avatar item for free starting on August 19, 2021.
• Dragon-type Sport Uniform and Dark-Type Sport Uniform avatar items will also be available starting on August 19, 2021.
• Event-exclusive gift stickers will be available starting on August 20, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. local time.

• Galarian Farfetch'd (can be shiny)
• Unown U (can be shiny)

• Falinks

Five-star raids:

• Zacian (Hero of Many Battles form)

Mega raids:

• Mega Beedrill

Ultra Unlock Part 3: Sword and Shield will run from Friday, August 20, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. local time to Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. local time.
