Hermès is now offering a $699 travel tag for your new AirTag
What you need to know
- Hermès is releasing a new travel tag for AirTag.
- It is also seemingly releasing a MagSafe case for iPhone as well.
Hermès continues to push the limit of AirTags accessory pricing.
Hermès, which offers a collection of premium leather AirTag accessories through Apple, is now also offering a $699 leather travel tag exclusively on its website. The travel tag, which is crafted from Fawn Barenia calfskin, is made in France.
The tag, which also includes a window to list your name, address, phone number, and email address, is available for preorder now with shipping set to start on April 29.
Spotted by 9to5Mac, the company is also launching its own MagSafe leather case for the iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro.
While the case is supposedly available for preorder now and will ship on April 27, the link for the case from the 9to5Mac article now goes to a page that says "We're sorry. The page you were looking for no longer exists." So, it's unclear if the case was supposed to be on its site yet.
Hermès has always been a high-end partner of Apple, offering luxurious bands and versions of the Apple Watch, but it appears that the company is really looking to expand into other accessories in the Apple ecosystem.
