How to switch plans and disable auto-renewal for Apple Music on your Mac

last updated If you've subscribed to Apple Music and would like to change your subscription from an individual to family plan or back, you can do it from your Mac. All you need is iTunes 12.2 or later. You can also use this to toggle off auto-renewal, so if you're not sold on the service, you can make sure you aren't charged once the trial is over.
How to switch between Individual and Family Plans for Apple Music on your Mac
- Open iTunes.
- Click on your name.
- Select Account Info.
- Enter your Apple ID and password, then click View Account.
- Under Settings, look for Subscriptions, then click the Manage link.
- Look for Apple Music Membership and click the Edit link.
- You can change from an individual to family plan under Renewal Options.
- When you're finished, click the Done button.
How to turn off Apple Music auto-renewal on your Mac
- Open iTunes.
- Click on your name.
- Select Account Info.
- Enter your Apple ID and password, then click View Account.
- Under Settings, look for Subscriptions, then click the Manage link.
- Look for Apple Music Membership and click the Edit link.
- Change Automatic Renewal from On to Off if you'd like to stop Apple from charging you a monthly fee once your trial membership is done.
