Hunter Fan Company has announced the release of a new HomeKit-enabled ceiling fan on Tuesday, the Hunter Aerodyne ceiling fan. Like the best HomeKit ceiling fans, the Aerodyne supports convenient controls through the Home app and via voice with Apple's virtual assistant Siri.
The Hunter Aerodyne sports a slick, 52-inch four-blade design that covers most medium to large-sized rooms indoors with four-speed settings. The fan is available in two finishes — a matte silver and a matte black, and both include an integrated light kit that supports two LED bulbs and physical remote control.
The Aerodyne connects directly to home networks — and HomeKit, over Wi-Fi without the need for a dedicated hub. Once connected, users will have access to power functions and speed controls, and HomeKit standards like automation and scenes with other HomeKit accessories.
In addition to the Aerodyne, Hunter also plans to introduce the Stylus ceiling fan with SIMPLEConnect Wi-Fi technology later this year. Like the Aerodyne, the indoor-only Stylus sports the same 52-inch span and LED lighting, but it will come in three finishes — including a matte white.
The Hunter Aerodyne Ceiling Fan is available now through hunterfan.com, and through lighting and fan retailers nationwide for $179.99. The Stylus Ceiling Fan will be available for $329.99 when it launches later this year.
