New photos claim to show off a smaller notch on the iPhone 13
What you need to know
- New photos from DuanRui claim to offer a comparison between the current notch and the upcoming notch in the iPhone 13.
- The photos are similar to those shared by DuanRui and MacRumors in the past.
The iPhone 13 notch rumors are at it again.
Yesterday, DuanRui posted three photos to Twitter that claim to show off film samples from Apple's upcoming iPhone 13. The photos, as linked below, show off a smaller notch than what is currently on the iPhone 12 lineup as well as the notched iPhones before it.
You can see from the photos that, if they are in fact real film samples, Apple is moving the front speaker above the Face ID camera system, which would ultimately shrink the size of the notch on the left and right side of the iPhone.

This weekend's photos follow an earlier photo from DuanRui as well as a report from MacRumors back in March.
Apple is expected to release the iPhone 13 lineup this fall. In addition to a potentially smaller notch, the next iPhone is expected to get a 120Hz display as well as some significant camera upgrades.
