New York Times offers iPhone and iPad users deep discounts on their digital subscription
If you're an avid reader of The New York Times, you can currently save quite a bit of money if you subscribe to the paper's digital edition through iTunes. As reported by Mashable, digital access normally runs $8.75 per week ($35 per month) if you subscribe through The New York Times' website, but that rate is cut significantly if you subscribe directly through the iOS app.
Monthly rates through the app start at $14.99 per month for digital access and $24.99 per month for digital access plus an extra subscription to share. Finally, you can subscribe annually for $119.99 per year, which is quite a discount at hundreds of dollars off of what you'd pay if you subscribed through the website.
Unfortunately, this is only available to new subscribers. However, if you're willing to make a new account, anyone can get in on the discounted rates.
