Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Poffin cooking guide
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl allows players to take part in Super Contests, showing off their Pokémon with special moves. A good way to increase your Pokémon's chances of winning is feeding them some Poffins, which are like muffins for Pokémon. Unfortunately, unlocking the ability to cook Poffins isn't super straightforward. If you need some help figuring it out, we've got you covered with our Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl Poffin cooking guide.
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl: How to find the Poffin Case
To start off, you'll need to acquire a Poffin Case for holding all your Poffins. Without the Poffin Case, you can't cook Poffins. Here's how to find a Poffin Case:
- Head to Hearthhome City, as seen on the map above.
- Make your way to the Pokémon Fan Club, a building with an orange roof to the right of the PokéMart.
- Go inside and speak to the Old Man.
- The Old Man will give you the Poffin Case.
You now have a Poffin Case for holding your Poffins! It's time to get cooking.
Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl: How to cook Poffins
To cook Poffins, you'll need to head to the Poffin House. It's also located in Hearthhome City.
- Locate the Poffin House, which is directly to the left of the PokéMart.
- Head inside and walk up to the woman on the left.
- Start cooking.
Cooking Poffins is a bit more tricky than you might expect. You'll cook a successful Poffin by selecting one, two, three or four different berries. It's important to note that if you use more than one of the same berry, you'll create a Foul Poffin, so use different kinds of berries.
To cook the Poffin, you have to stir with the left thumbstick, rotating it in the direction indicated by the game's green or blue arrows. If you stir took quickly, the batter will overflow. In our experience, it's much harder to stir too fast and far too easy to not stir fast enough, so bear that in mind.
Different kinds of berries grant different kinds of bonuses. Here's what each attribute provides for the Super Contests:
