What you need to know

- The report believes that overall industry growth will slow in the fourth quarter of the year.
The M1 Macs are driving Apple's Mac performance to new heights in 2021.
A new report from TrendForce says that Apple is set to record some of the highest sales growth in the notebook industry for this year. The report attributes the company's new M1-powered Macs to the increased sales performance.
While everyone has seen incredible sales growth due to people working from home and going to school remotely during the pandemic, TrendForce believes that demand will begin to slow down in the fourth quarter of 2021.
Apple is expanding its Apple Silicon processors to all of its Mac lineup within the next couple of years. Last year, the company launched the first M1-powered Macs with the new MacBook Air, 13-inch MacBook Pro, and Mac mini. Earlier this year, the company launched the completely redesigned and completely colorful iMac.
Apple is also expected to announce new versions of the 16-inch MacBook Pro and a 14-inch MacBook Pro, which is expected to replace the 13-inch MacBook Pro, later this year. The new MacBook Pro models are anticipated to feature mini-LED displays, ditch the Touch Bar, and bring back a ton of ports like HDMI and an SD Card slot.
