Rich link previews, bigger emoji, and much more coming to Messages on iOS 10
Apple has announced some enhancements coming to Messages with iOS 10. Messages will offer rich, inline previews of websites, along with inline YouTube videos, along with camera enhancements and more.
You'll be able to take a picture right from the Messages app in iOS 10, with the ability to open a camera window right on top of the keyboard. If you want to attach an existing photo, swipe right to access your gallery. Emoji will be three times bigger in iOS 10, and the keyboard will offer emoji predictions as you type. You can also tap the emoji button, then tap a word to get an emoji replacement.
There are new effects, with bubbles now moving, resizing, and more to express different emotions. You can send messages in "invisible ink," which can be revealed by sliding across them. You can also hand-write messages, and if your screw up, you can re-write them.
Messages on iOS 10 will also feature support for Digital Touch, which first debuted on the Apple Watch last year. It allows you to send digital sketches, your heartbeat, and more to your loved ones.
