Smartmi has introduced its latest smart air purifier on Thursday, the P1 Air Purifier. The air purifier, which is available beginning today, features advanced HEPA filtration technology and is compatible with all of the major smart home platforms — including Apple's HomeKit.
The Smartmi P1 actively monitors and cleans the air around the home by trapping 99.97% of the particles that pass through its filter. Its powerful air purifying technology can cleanse a 200 sq. ft space in 10 minutes. Sporting a sleek, minimalistic design in a compact frame, the P1 can be placed anywhere in the home and fits into any home decor.
According to Smartmi, the P1 Air Purifier's HEPA filtration system is three times more effective than traditional filters and can clean a 180 square foot area in just ten minutes. The P1's filter can trap particles as small as 80 Nanos, and its onboard dual laser particulate matter sensor detects PM2.5 contaminants as well as PM10 sizes like pollen. Smartmi offers two filter options for the P1 — one that targets pollen and allergens and another tailored for odor control. Both filters require replacement once every six to twelve months and start at $39.99.
Smartmi P1 is the first portable smart air purifier that works seamlessly with all three major smart home ecosystems. Whether consumers use Amazon's Alexa, Google Home, or Apple's HomeKit, the Smartmi P1 can easily communicate and work with all the latest smart home technology. Users can communicate with their preferred voice assistant to receive real-time air quality alerts and remotely control the P1 from the comfort of their couch.
The Smartmi P1 connects to home networks over Wi-Fi with controls available through the Smartmi Link app on iOS and Android. Through the app, users can access real-time air quality measurements, view historical data, remotely control fan speeds, set timers, and create schedules.
