What you need to know
- Ted Lasso has passed Glee for the most Emmy nominations for a new comedy series.
- The series received a total of 20 Emmy nominations for its first season.
Earlier today, Apple announced that its beloved comedy series Ted Lasso had been nominated for two more Emmy awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series.
That brought the total number of nominations to 20 and, according to CNN, broke an Emmy Awards record.
