What you need to know
- A number of new recruits have reportedly signed on for the upcoming Apple TV+ show The Big Door Prize.
- Gabrielle Dennis, Damon Gupton, and Josh Segarra are just some of the names now involved.
- The Big Door Prize will also star Chris O'Dowd.
Upcoming Apple TV+ show The Big Door Prize has reportedly bagged some new stars to join Chris O'Dowd, with Josh Segarra arguably one of the bigger names.
According to a Deadline report, "Gabrielle Dennis (A Black Lady Sketch Show), Damon Gupton (Super Pumped), Arrow alum Josh Segarra, and newcomer Sammy Fourlas" are all signed on for the show that will be based on M.O. Walsh's bestselling novel.
The show itself will feature half-hour episodes and tells the story of a small town that has a machine appear in a grocery store, promising to "reveal each resident's true life potential."
The report outlines the characters that each new star will play, along with a short explainer of what that character's life is like in the show — it's well worth checking out if you want to know more, but perhaps one to skip if you want to go into the new show completely cold.
No release schedule has been given for The Big Door Prize but expectations continue to grow with each new cast member.
You will of course need an Apple TV+ subscription to watch the show when it does premiere. The service is priced at $4.99 per month, it's arguably the best value in streaming right now. It's also available as part of the Apple One subscription bundle, too.
